Software Engineer

The Role
Due to a continued period of growth, we are currently looking for full-stack Software Engineers to join our team based out of Poland. As a Software Engineer at EasyPark, you will be responsible for delivering integrations with industry partners and parking operators to enable a great user experience for parking users in access controlled parking areas (areas with gates and/or cameras). The team is working with production data and a developer's responsibility covers the whole development cycle, including analysis, actual development, testing, monitoring and bug fixing.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and understand existing complex business logic in Gated Java backend service and enhance the existing solutions based on the new requirements
Collaborate with other teams within EasyPark, when needed.
Contribute to all phases of development lifecycle, from concept to deployment
Develop support for a custom Gated (access controlled) integrations
Provide support for the product (PSS)
Contribute to alleviating technical debt by following industry best practices
Help with migrating/modernizing codebase to produce more scalable solutions
About You
You will be a Mid-Senior level engineer of Java/Kotlin experience and a strong competence in full-stack programming principles
Experience using build (Docker) and management (Kubernetes) tools
Experience with PostgreSQL(SQL)
Solid understanding of Spring Framework (Java) for backend development in a microservice environment (experience with Java and Kotlin)
Experience in writing tests (unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests), Behaviour Driven Testing
Experience with DevOps (rapid delivery of changes while the service is serving users in production; troubleshooting incidents and outages; end-to-end ownership of the solution without dedicated QAs and/or system administrators).
Familiarity with database technologies and RESTful APIs
Exposure to front-end technologies (React framework and Node.js)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Good written and spoken communication skills in English
Preferred
Good documentation skills
Ability to grasp requirements from conversations with stakeholders
Comfortable navigating dynamic work environment and changing context at need
Previous Linux experience
