Staff Engineer - Product Architecture
Are you a senior technical leader ready to own the architectural direction within a product domain? As our Staff Engineer, Product Architecture, you'll be the ultimate owner of our product's technical blueprint, ensuring systems perfectly align with business and user needs while upholding the highest non-functional requirements.
At EasyPark, we love cities. We love them for work, for play and everything in between. That’s why our mission is to make life in cities that much easier – by taking care of the parking. With the use of technology, we break barriers, helping improve the urban experience. Our aim is to create a scenario where parking supply and driver demand are balanced not due to additional parking spots and fewer cars, but thanks to predictive technology that connects our users to available spots.
This is a critical role where you'll be deeply embedded within product teams, bridging vision and execution. You'll provide essential leadership, mentorship, and final accountability on technical decisions, guiding our product development teams to make excellent choices.
Your Day-to-Day Mission:
- Architectural Ownership: Define and own the overall product architecture and technical roadmap for your area, ensuring designs are resilient, observable, scalable, performant, highly available, secure, and maintainable.
- People Leadership: Guide and mentor Tech Leads, fostering cross-team alignment and cultivating a shared understanding of architecture and design patterns. You'll be the final escalation point for complex technical decisions.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers to translate user and business needs into robust technical strategies. Collaborate with Principal Engineers to align product architecture with broader platform strategies.
- Quality & Delivery: Establish and uphold high standards of code quality, test coverage, and performance. Proactively manage architectural risks and tech debt, contributing to continuous improvement across the engineering group.
- Process Excellence: Lead architecture reviews, participate in design discussions, and coach teams in applying agile principles to architecture. Contribute to long-term technology strategy and ensure architectural documentation is always current.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven Technical Leadership: 10+ years of experience as a technical leader in a large organization, with a track record of guiding teams through significant transformations.
- Hands-On Expertise: Solid background as a Senior Software Engineer in an agile environment. You still enjoy diving into code when time permits.
- Collaborative Spirit: A natural collaborator eager to work closely with engineering, product, and UX leaders to build exceptional products.
- Growth Mindset: A strong advocate for continuous learning and growth, both personally and for those around you.
- Mentorship Passion: A genuine passion for mentoring and supporting engineers and teams, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Commitment to Quality: A deep understanding of the importance of scalable, sustainable, and architecturally sound solutions, with a dedication to delivering high-quality code.
- Adaptability and Judgment: The ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence and make sound decisions when needed.
- Empathetic Leadership: A compassionate approach to leadership, adapting your style to meet the unique needs of individuals and situations.
- Inclusive Culture: A commitment to fostering a fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone on the team.
