EasyPark Group is a global company and a true leader in its domain. There is a clear ambition to quickly grow in coverage and offer our services to more customers and partners.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the EasyPark team as a Design Lead. You will play a key role in our future success and have a true opportunity to make a real impact and difference for our users and our business!
Firstly, a bit about the team
As Design Lead for Driver’s Experience, you’ll work across one of the core departments of EasyPark. The department currently consists of 13 teams and over 110 highly skilled individuals within product, engineering, design or analytics. This department oversees EasyPark’s consumer-facing products: chiefly the app(s), catering for 30 million monthly active users, as well as automotive and wearable integrations.
What you’ll be doing
The Design Lead at EasyPark takes a strong and holistic ownership of the end to end user experience that’s under the remit of the department they’re working in. This role entails a mix of leading a small team as well as hands-on contributions to raise the bar on the quality of the experiences offered to EasyPark’s users.
As design lead you’ll report directly to the Head of Product Design and will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders in product, engineering and design, to shape the next steps of how the products should look, work and feel moving forward.
Key responsibilities:
Through close collaboration with key stakeholders, ensure that the user experience of EasyPark’s products are the best they can possibly be.
Coach, support and collaborate with a small, distributed team of skilled product designers to set both them and the department up for success. This includes spending time in 1:1’s, doing interviews, onboarding new joiners, as well continuously working to improve ways of working, processes and overall maturity within design.
Whilst you’ll work with a team of designers, you’re also expected to have solid hands-on skills that you don’t mind leveraging with relative frequency. Your craft is at a level where you have an ability to truly elevate the quality of the products from a design standpoint.
Aside from working with cross functional collaborators across the department, you’ll also collaborate with others in the wider organization: e.g. designers, UX researchers, UX writers and the design system team.
What you’ll bring to the team
We expect you to have at least 5+ years of experience in design with 1+ years of lead/management/coaching experience.
Solid experience working with cross functional teams, preferably in a product/SaaS context.
Track record of product-thinking, outcome-centric, high quality projects.
Impeccable craft skills. Know-how in design tools and prototyping is a given. Understanding for or skills in UX research, UX writing, motion design, design systems, are seen as beneficial.
We expect you to be a strong communicator in both written and verbal form.
We expect you to share an outstanding portfolio, giving a sense for your track record of shipping excellent products.
